This incense holder is inspired by the tranquil evening scenery of Lake Shinji, a landscape deeply cherished by Koizumi Yakumo and his wife Setsu Koizumi.
The design reflects the gentle beauty of the waning moon floating over the lake at dusk.

The moon features a vivid fire-colored (ensai) finish, and each piece displays unique color variations.
No two moons are exactly alike.

To preserve the beauty of these colors over time, only the moon is carefully coated with a protective finish to prevent discoloration.
